Can I send my CV instead of completing an application form?
We ask that everyone completes the online application process to ensure fairness and consistency.
Can you advise me on how best to complete my application form?
Make sure you take time to really understand what the role entails by looking at the job description and person specification, think about your responses in relation to the role, provide relevant examples, be honest and ensure you complete all sections.
How long will the recruitment process take after I submit my application?
Your application will be reviewed by the recruiting manager directly after the closing date when they will create a shortlist for interview/assessment centre. At this point you will be contacted either by telephone or email to inform you of the outcome of your application. Will you let me know if I am unsuccessful?

If I have not been successful, can I still apply for another role?

Do you have any interview / assessment centre tips?
It is always worth spending time researching Goodwood and the role you are applying for. You might also want to think about how your experience is relevant to the role so you are ready to tell us all the great things you have to offer. We would also recommend getting all the practical, 'on the day' elements clear. Make sure you know where you are going, how long the journey takes (remember it varies depending on time of day) and who to ask for when you get there. We use lots of different parts of the Estate for recruitment so be sure to take note of the exact location. Consider visiting Goodwood before the day to get your bearings.Think in advance about what questions you might be asked and how you will respond - clear concise answers are always best. Also have a few questions of your own ready to ask - it's a two-way process. Breathe deep and keep calm - we want it to go well too.
What should I wear?
We suggest you wear something appropriate for the position that is smart and comfortable. If in doubt, please contact the People and Development team.
What if I can't make the interview / assessment centre date?
Whilst we make every effort to accommodate requests for alternative interview dates, it is not always possible to delay the recruitment process. Please inform us if you are unable to attend and we will do everything we can.
How long will my interview / assessment centre last?
This depends on the role you are applying for and the format involved. It will range from approximately 30-90 minutes, so please allow plenty of time. You will be advised of times and what to expect when you are invited to interview.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
You will be advised if you are required to bring anything specific with you. You may wish to bring a copy of your application form, the job description and person specification.
If I am offered the role, what can I expect?
Hopefully your first reaction will be of excitement! Once you have accepted the role, you will receive a new starter pack including your contract and lots of useful information about Goodwood. Your new manager will call to welcome you before you start and answer any questions you may have. When you start, we will set up an individual tailored induction programme which will include a full Goodwood induction.
